Every Line’s a Risk

Every Line's a Risk campaign slogan

The Nepean Liquor Accord has launched a new anti-cocaine campaign aimed at licensed venues across the region, unveiling Every Line’s A Risk to member venues at Penrith RSL on Tuesday 21 July 2026.

The campaign confronts the growing use of cocaine among patrons aged 18 to 25, an age group for whom it has become a routine part of a night out. It is built around three risks that patrons rarely weigh in the moment: being identified by venue staff, detection by police and the criminal record that follows, and the health harm of a substance whose contents can never be verified.

Nepean Liquor Accord Chairman David Want presented the campaign to members at the launch, setting out why the Accord has chosen to champion the cause.

“Cocaine use has crept into the night-out routine for a lot of young people, and our venues are where it plays out,” Mr Want said. “We have a responsibility to the people who walk through our doors, and turning a blind eye isn’t an option. This campaign puts the message where the decision gets made.”

The Accord’s decision to lead the campaign reflects a view that venues are uniquely placed to shift behaviour. Rather than waiting for the problem to be addressed elsewhere, member venues will display coordinated materials that present a single, consistent message across the region.

The campaign targets younger patrons deliberately. The Accord’s position is that habits are hardest to reverse once established, so reaching people early offers the best chance of changing behaviour before cocaine use becomes normalised.

Every Line’s A Risk will roll out across member venues in the coming weeks, with posters, educational flyers, social media content, and in-venue screen displays.
